How your Springnest website works with AI assistants

More guests are now starting their search in an AI assistant like ChatGPT, Claude or Google's AI Overviews instead of typing into a search box. That means something new: your website is being read by a machine that then answers a question on your behalf.

Springnest does three things to make sure those answers are accurate.

Every page on your site carries a hidden summary of itself written in a format search engines and AI assistants can read without guessing. This is called schema markup, or structured data. It is automatic and there is nothing to switch on.

Your site serves a short text file at yourdomain.com/llms.txt that tells an AI assistant who you are, how to contact you, where you are, what your main pages are, and your answers to common guest questions. You can write your own version in your own words.

Three tick boxes let you state whether AI tools may include your site in search results, use it to answer guest questions, and use it for training.

Go to Settings → AI Visibility in your Springnest admin. The tab is marked Beta while we keep adding to it.

Add an FAQ page and answer the questions guests actually ask you: is it suitable for children, how far is the airport, what is included in the rate, is parking free. Those answers go into both your schema markup and your llms.txt, so they are the content most likely to be quoted back to a guest.
