Introduction to Springnest Events: Publish upcoming events on your website

Edited

Events lets you showcase time-bound events on your Springnest website — from on-property happenings to local experiences and seasonal highlights. Use it for anything with a date (or a limited run) that you want guests to discover in a clear “What’s on” style listing before or during their stay.

When to Use Events

Events is built for anything time-bound — occasions that have a date, draw guests in, and then pass. Think of it as your business’ "What's on" board: a living, updated feed that gives guests a reason to check your website and something to look forward to.

Common examples:

  • Live entertainment (e.g. jazz nights, acoustic sessions, open mic evenings)

  • Dining experiences (e.g. guest chef dinners, harvest lunches, wine pairing evenings)

  • Seasonal programmes (e.g. kids activities during school holidays, summer yoga series)

  • Retreats and workshops (e.g. wellness weekends, photography workshops, cooking classes)

  • Local and community events (e.g. nearby festivals, markets, cultural happenings)

  • Activity calendars (e.g. Scheduled treks departing from your location)

Beyond engaging guests, Events keeps your site feeling current and adds time-relevant content that supports SEO relevance, especially useful in quieter seasons.

Note: Events does not include ticketing, payments, or booking management. If an event requires tickets or payment, use the booking button to link out to a specialist provider such as Quicket or Eventbrite.

Event FAQs and Troubleshooting

Why is my event Live but showing no dates?

Your event is Live, but no date information has been added yet.

What this means:

  • The event can still publish on your website.

  • Guests will not see a date, which can reduce clicks and enquiries.

What to do:

  • Add a structured date (recommended) — this also lets Springnest place the event correctly under Upcoming vs Past.

  • Or add a free-form date text (for example "Every Friday" or "28 June 2025") if the timing is flexible or recurring.

Do my events include ticketing or payment functionality?

Events do not take payments directly, but you can still use Events to promote ticketed experiences.

Recommended approach (external ticketing):

  • Set the event’s booking button to External URL.

  • Paste the link to your ticketing or payment provider.

  • Use clear button text, for example “Buy tickets”, “Book on Quicket”, or “Get tickets”.

  • The button opens the ticketing link in a new tab, so guests can complete payment there.

Tip: Add the key ticket details in the event description too (price, what’s included, and any terms), then link out for payment.

Can I use Events for recurring events?

Yes.

  • If you want automation and clean “past event” behaviour, add structured dates (and add multiple dates one by one).

  • If it recurs indefinitely and you want low admin, use open date text (for example “Every Wednesday”).

Can I list events that are not hosted by my property?

Yes. You can publish local festivals and nearby happenings.

Tip: Be clear whether the event is on-site or off-site, and link to the organiser’s website when relevant.

Listing off-site and local events

You can publish events that are not hosted at your property, for example, a local festival or a nearby market. This works well as a local guide for guests.

If you list both on-site and off-site events, follow these guidelines:

  1. Make the distinction clear in the event details — state the venue explicitly so guests know where it is happening.

  2. Add a short note where needed, such as: "This is an external event not organised by us."

  3. Link to the organiser's website so guests can find authoritative details.

Tip: Off-site events are a great way to add value for guests planning their stay, without implying your property is involved in organising them.

Managing events across multiple properties

Events are managed per site. If you operate multiple Springnest websites, you need to add and update events on each site separately.

There is no central distribution of events across multiple Springnest websites.
